inov-8 F-lite 230 Review
When looking at shoes best suited for functional fitness, especially for CrossFit, the original functional fitness shoe of choice is undoubtedly the inov-8 F-lite 230! Before other brands paid their way into the market place, CrossFitters used Chuck Tailors and the inov-8 F-lite 230, purely because these shoes offered exactly what every athletes was looking for…
The inov-8 F-lite 230 offers a stable base for lifting while also offering a lightweight, fast feel for sprint workouts, particularly for those new to minimalist running. The precise fit ensures minimal internal movement when contouring, ascending and descending, and this stability is perfect for lifting. The original fitness shoe of choice as a result! The low profile cushioned midsole features a 6mm heel-to-toe drop, which is ideal for Olympic lifts and transitioning to a natural running style.
Outside of the gym, this shoe is designed for running on hard pack trails and tarmac surfaces – so it’s propensity to have cross training function is almost boundless. For running, the elite lightweight racing flat is ideal for use on hard pack mountainous terrain and shorter distance races. The sticky rubber outsole offers superb grip, and the radical design provides good upper support while the patent pending fascia-band aids propulsion efficiency of the running cycle.
This is a good choice as a racing shoe for intermediate runners and as a training shoe for more advanced runners, and it’s a brilliant choice for those who do CrossFit or other functional fitness.
